About Us
Sometimes life gets a bit... life-y.
You might know exactly what's wrong.
You might have absolutely no idea.
Both are perfectly reasonable places to start.
At IIPP, we are proud to continue our legacy of providing expert psychological services with a fresh, global perspective. Our rebrand from the Von Auer Psychology Center (VAPC) marks an exciting new chapter, reflecting our commitment to integrated approaches to mental health.
Meet Dr Vanessa von Auer
Clinical Director/Clinical Pschologist

As a Clinical Psychologist, Special Needs Educator, and Relationship and Parenting Expert, I have spent over 20 years helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging stages.
Having grown up as a Eurasian Third Culture Kid (TCK), I understand the intricacies of both Western and Asian cultures. It has been a privilege to support people from all walks of life on their individual journeys towards empowerment, resilience and happiness.
My extensive clinical experience spans both the public and private sectors. In 2008, I founded the VA Psychology Center (VAPC), providing therapeutic services to children, teenagers, adults and families. Shortly after, I founded the Integrated International School, one of Singapore’s first inclusive international schools, the Integrated International School (www.iis.edu.sg) offering both mainstream and special education. I am also qualified to conduct psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments to identify learning difficulties and developmental conditions.
In addition, I consulted as a Senior Psychologist at the Child Development Unit, at the National University Hospital (CDU @NUH) for 3.5 years. I have also had the privilege of being featured in a multitude of television, radio and print media releases for my expertise.
I believe that every child and adult has the potential to lead a happy, fun and fulfilling life! I’ve specialize in working with children and adolescents and have spent my career helping parents learn effective parenting strategies, helped children process their emotional difficulties in healthy ways and watched families grow closer in their dynamics with one another. My other treatment areas include helping individuals with adjustment/expatriation difficulties, anxiety disorders, anger management, chronic pain, grief, infertility, stress management, as well as couples, marriage and family therapy. I use an integrative approach to my counseling sessions, which consists of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Expressive Therapy approaches. All of my sessions are conducted in English (all clients) and if requested, German (children only).
